{"id":314,"date":"2008-09-12T08:27:10","date_gmt":"2008-09-12T14:27:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scottnkelly.com\/blog\/?p=314"},"modified":"2008-09-12T08:27:10","modified_gmt":"2008-09-12T14:27:10","slug":"odd-i-dont-sound-like-scott","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scottnkelly.com\/blog\/2008\/09\/12\/odd-i-dont-sound-like-scott\/","title":{"rendered":"Odd, I don&#8217;t sound like Scott&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/scottnkelly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/sunrise-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-315 alignleft\" title=\"sunrise\" src=\"https:\/\/scottnkelly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/sunrise-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"143\" height=\"95\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of the highlights of my day (even though I dread the actual first part of the event where I actually have to wake up) is waking the kids on a school day.<\/p>\n<p>I never know what to expect, and am always pleasantly surprised.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/scottnkelly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/bobdole-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-316\" title=\"bobdole\" src=\"https:\/\/scottnkelly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/bobdole-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"114\" height=\"94\" \/><\/a>This morning whilst waking the boy, he once again pulled a Bob Dole on me and began speaking in third person.\u00a0 After coughing a bit, he exclaimed &#8220;Dad, I don&#8217;t sound like Spencer&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/scottnkelly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/barrywhite-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-317\" title=\"barrywhite\" src=\"https:\/\/scottnkelly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/barrywhite-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"115\" height=\"115\" \/><\/a>Fortunately for him, I sound like Barry White first thing in the morning (minus the groovy track in the background) so I told him (in my deepest..um&#8230; falsetto?) &#8220;That&#8217;s okay&#8230; I don&#8217;t sound like Daddy either.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It was worth the look &#8211; and will be worth it again later when the comments I get for posting this come in. . .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the highlights of my day (even though I dread the actual first part of the event where I actually have to wake up) is waking the kids on a school day.
