So I got a twitter account. Shhhhh. Don’t tell anyone. Now I can tweet. I thought it was going to be interesting, but more and more I find myself reading posts from both the public and people I follow, knowing the answer to one (or more) of their issues, but having no success in actually responding to these tweet heads who tell their ‘followers’ every aspect of their daily lives. (Apparently they have to follow you as well in order for you to respond – or so it would seem… I could just be very new to the process.)
There are quite a few interesting ones – from the extended family day to day, to the senator from Missouri who on the one hand tweets about congressional matters and then 2 hours later tweets about ordering pizza and blowing up air mattresses for visiting family.
There are all sorts on twitter – there are spammers, there are lunatics… and then there’s me. If you want to check it out, the twitter feed can be found here.
I don’t think I am ready to add the twitter feed to the blog for all to see. Goodness knows I already get in trouble for some of the things I post here . . .
In any case, it’s new, it’s hip, and well, if it will help to keep the kids off the grass, I suppose I can give it a try.
So let me get this straight…..no to Facebook, but yes to Twitter. If that’s how you roll, I think you’re rolling the wrong way 🙂 . But please let me know how you get people to follow you, b/c I only follow and am feeling a bit lame (and not the “so lame, I’m cool” way).
You have to be cool to get people to follow you. (What does that say about me and my 4 followers?) Facebook is too popular to be good. We roll with the feeds that you don’t have to respond to. Sure, anyone can post a tweet – but if they aren’t in my follow list, I have plausible deniability when it comes to response expectations.
